Ikkeri was the second capital of the Keladi Nayaka Dynasty. Its 3 km to the south of Sagar town of Shivamogga dist of the Indian state of Karnataka. Ikkeri was the capital of Keladi Nayakas for about 120 yrs & later moved to Bidanooru.
The Aghoreshvara Temple in Ikkeri built in granite during the time of the Nayakas of Keladi is a classic example of the Nayaka style of architecture. It was built during the 16th century AD.
