Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple, Karnataka

Sigandhur / Sigandhoor is a small village in the islands of Sharavathi Back waters in Sagar Taluk of the Indian state of Karnataka. Its famous for the Chowdeshwari Temple dedicated to Godess Chowdamma (Parvathi). Surrounded by lush green mountains & trees, this place is very beautiful. 

Sigandur is around 35 km from Sagar. As its on the other side of the Sharavathi Back waters, we need to take a Launch (Boat which can carry vehicles & passengers) to reach the other side. By road from Sagar we need to travel around 29 km & then 1+ km in water by launch & again 3-4 km on road to reach the Chowdeshwari Temple at Sigandhur.
