Getting There:

Jaisalmer is around 260 km north west of Jodhpur & around 330 km south west of Bikaner.

Jaipur the capital of the state is around 565 km east of Jaisalmer

Ahmedabad is around 530 km to the south of Jaisalmer

The roads connecting to Jaisalmer by all the neighboring cities are too good, so one can easily drive to Jaisalmer. There are a lot of daily bus service from Jodhpur/Barmer/Bikaner/Jaipur. Jaisalmer has broad guage railway line, there is a direct train from Delhi - Shalimar Express. There is a new Airport coming up in Jaisalmer, shortly there will be service from New Delhi. Otherwise, other nearest Airport is at Jodhpur.
