Agumbe is a place in Shivamogga District almost bordering the Udupi District in the Indian state of Karnataka. This beautiful scenic place is in the heart of the Malnad region or the western ghats. Agumbe receives the second highest rainfall in India only after Cherrapunji, hence its called the Cherrapunji of the South.
