Chaudayyadanapura/Chaudadanapura (Kannada: ಚೌಡಯ್ಯದಾನಪುರ/ಚೌಡದಾನಪುರ) is a small village on the bank of River Tungabhadra in Ranebennur taluk of the Indian state of Karnataka. Earlier name of this place was Shivapura, this place got the new name after the 12th century saint, social reformer, Vishwa Guru Basaveshwara donated this place to Ambigara Chaudayya (a boatman).
Mukteshwara Temple
The Mukteshwara Temple here is a very beautiful Jakkanachaari style temple constructed during the 11-12th century. The lingu here at the Mukteshwara Temple is spontaneously born (Udbhava Linga) There is also a Veerabhadreshwara Temple dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra (Lord Shiva)

Getting There:
From Ranebennur (Around 24 km)
Route: From Ranebennur, take Guttal Road (SH57), you need to cross Devaragudda cross & Honnatti village. After travelling about 21 km, there is a small bus stop at the left, this is actually a bus stop for Chaudayyadanapura. Take right just after this bus stop & go for about 3 km, you reach the destination.
From Bengaluru (Around 324 km)
Route: Bengaluru --NH4--> Tumkur --NH4--> Chitradurga --NH4--> Davangere --NH4--> Ranebennur --SH57--> Chaudayyadanapura
From Hubballi (Around 110 km)
Route: Hubballi --NH4--> Haveri --SH2--> Guttal --SH57--> Chaudayyadanapura
By Bus/Train:
Ranebennur is well connected by Buses & Trains. From Ranebennur there are a lot of Buses which go towards Guttal/Mylara/Hoovinahadagli/Hospet/Shirhatti/Mundaragi. Get down at Chaudayyadanapura busstop (21 km from Ranebennur) & from here you can either trek/walk to Chaudayyadanapura Village or take an auto if you are lucky enough to get one.
