Badami (Kannada: ಬಾದಾಮಿ) of Bagalkote district of the Indian state of Karnataka, was the capital of the Chalukya Dynasty (540 - 757 AD). It is famous for the cave & rock cut temples. Its 35 km away from Bagalkote city & around 475 km away from Bengaluru.
By road:
From Bengaluru:
Bengaluru -- (NH4) -- Chitradurga -- (NH13) -- Hospet -- (NH13) -- Hungund -- Amingad -- Aihole -- Pattadakallu -- Badami : (Suggesting this route coz, Hampi, Kudala Sangama, Aihole & Pattadakallu can also be covered in the same route)
From Mumbai/Pune:
Mumbai -- (NH4/Expressway) -- Pune -- (NH9) -- Solapur -- (NH13) -- Bijapur -- (NH218) -- Bagalkote -- Badami
By Train:
From Bengaluru: Take Bijapur Express, its a direct train to Badami from Yeshvantpur
From Mumbai: Take Lokmanya Tilak Yeshvantpur Express, its
a direct train to Badami from Lokmanya Tilak station.
By Bus:
From Bengaluru: There are direct Rajahamsa & Ordinary buses fr
om KSRTC/NWKRTC to Badami from Bengaluru.
From Mumbai: There are buses to Bijapur by NWKRTC & by Private carriers also. From Bijapur a local bus can be taken to reach Badami

Hampi to Kudala Sangama -> around 130 km
Kudala Sangama to Aihole -> around 35 km
Aihole to Pattadakallu -> around 20 km
Pattadakallu to Badami -> around 12 km
Good time to visit these places is Aug to Jan, the temperature here will be high in summer, so its good to plan in the end of rainy season & full of winter season (Aug - Jan)
